fetch-chronam

This is not an experiment. It is a piece of lab equipment.

Abstract

This tool provides a command-line front-end for

• searching the chroniclingameria API for a keyword
• downloading n scanned images from the search results
• converting them from JPEG-2000 to PNG format

This code was originally in naive-cut-up, from whence it was extracted.

Requirements

• Python 2.7.6 (probably works with older versions too)
• requests
• chroniclingamerica.py
• ImageMagick

Usage

$ ./fetch-chronam.py 20 cheese
